Re: Car Insurance...

I have Geico now, they have the best rate.

when I buy a new car, I might switch to USAA, which DH has. it might be cheaper through them and we'd get a family discount.

Re: Car Insurance...

I pay next to nothing

Travelers- on a brand new mustang- $115 a month

All State- $117 a month- brand new SUV

there is a very reason why they are no longer on the same polcey- but I would be saying about $20 a month if they were

geico! but i gotta call and complain! how the heck are you guys paying only $200 a month for 2 cars?

we havent combined our policies since we got married so maybe when i do that it'll bring it down a bit. but still! we're paying a little over $200 for EACH car! does it matter that they're both new and we're leasing?

I was mistaken. I think it's closer to 300 a month... (I realized this when I was driving home today and thinking over insurance)

I'm calling tomorrow to double check.

State Farm. Love em. They actually sent us refund checks last year for all of our policies.

We have EVERYTHING with them.

Re: Car Insurance...

leasing coverages are a bit higher so premiums tend to be a little higher. If you have multiple lines (meaning more than one car, homeowners, personal articles..etc., you will get lower rates since they will be discounted.

It usually pays to have all of your insurance in the same place, but we have Geico and State Farm couldn't match the car insurance at the time.

We recently asked them for a quote and they couldn't match it again.

Since we have two cars on the policy, defensive driver discounts, air bags, antilock brakes and drive about 10K a year more or less, these factors help the rates stay low.

Lets hope our 3 claims in the past year don't hurt us.

We had Geico and they were too expensive so we switched after doing some other research.

We both have perfect driving records.

even if the other guy was at fault, your liability is about 10% even if your insurance does not pay a dime. That's how it works in NY.

Geico.
But Statefarm just decreased their rates so it's running about equal since we have our homeowners with them.

yes- and my DH totaled a 1 month old car - they paid out for what the car would cost to replace - not what it was worth- that is HUGE

and my rates went down

my DH wasn't even on the policey

I love All State- I could not be happier with them!

We have allstate... about 100 per month per car (even quoted that rate for adding on a new luxury car). We do not have the accident forgiveness.

We do have homeowners with additional coverage, and an umbrella policy with them also so our rate is low due to multiple policies.

We never had to cash in thankfully so I can't tell you in that regard; but in all other respects they have been fine.
