Car seat requirements for turning it around?

What are they? I forgot? I know with Caiden we turned him around forward facing a couple of weeks before he turned 1 and Connor has been measuring a bit bigger than he was. Thanks!

It's 1 year AND 20lbs. If they aren't a year old, you shouldn't turn them. Their bones aren't as strong until they are a year old and serious injuries can happen in the event of an accident.

Re: Car seat requirements for turning it around?

I finally turned DD's seat around this weekend. She's 15mo, and over 20 lbs. Her knees were almost in her chest, so I figured it's about time. I was keeping her rear-facing as long as possible, but after a while, they get a bit too tall to stay that way.....

DD is 20 lbs and 1 year. I am thinking of turning her around because she looks very uncomfy with her long legs, however I know that way is the safest.
