Card Party as a school fund raiser
Have any of you every been to one/run one/know what it is??? I am on a committee for my son's school and I am in need of ideas at what people do at them, since you don't actually play cards! (like I thought!). Any information you can give me I would APPRECIATE so much!

Re: Card Party as a school fund raiser
I go to one every year for Xaverian HS in BKLYN. Its basically a chinese auction, you get different colored tix for each prize level (the prizes at the one I go to are insane, very high end), you put your tix into corresponding bags for the prize you want to win, and if they call your number you win. I pay about $75 which includes a 4 course dinner and a bag of tickets. I always end up buying more tickets at the event. Plus there are 50/50 raffels, a lotto board, birthday/anniversary board etc.

I've never heard of it either, but from wht I can tell, you DO play cards, or games.

Can't you just have a bakesale? When I was in HS we actually had a video game tournament as a fundraiser & it was very successful.
