I wasn't watching/listening when they called recess. Was he still on the stand? I assume Baez is still going to cross-examine? From what I read he only questioned him without the jury present... (why, I'm not sure).

He has been talking ALL DAY. we get it!!!! chloroform was found and there was a high dose of it... and yes the smell was human decomposition. we know this. move on... what's next??

He elaborates on every.single.question. 
I get that he's trying to explain for the jury so they understand more fully, but there has got to be a simpler way of explaining your findings in non-technical terms.
He was irritating at first, but now I think he is just a nerdy scientist that is really passionate about his job, who happens to have a lisp. I am curious to see how he does while he is being cross examined.

I realize this guy is very boring and I am sure he smells like rotten bodies (considering he works with them all the time) but I want to give him a hug. I don't know why, I feel really bad for him.

I think this scientist is kind of adorable. He comes across as very honest and I personally trust what he is saying. He has such a passion for his work that I trust he values its integrity and would do nothing to compromise it.
The way that the defense cross examines many of these witnesses (the cops, the forensic people, etc) allows them to respond in a way that makes what they are testifying to seem even more logical and true, if that's even possible.
After the trial is over I really hope we get to hear from the jury about their perception of the defense and Casey.

I feel bad for the jury. My brain hurts and I'm just listening to this in the background and paying very little attention. They have to be paying attention to all of this.
