Cat acting out ?

We were on vacation last week. While gone my neighbor came every AM and to give cat fresh water and keep dry food full. She also turned on AC for him. She is the best and an animal lover so I know when she said that she sat and pet him and talked to him each day, she did.

I also had my mom come daily after work to change water and turn off AC.

So he did have some company. We returned Wednesday night. He has been meowing a lot (which he doesnt often do) and all night he was on us while we slept. The problem is that on Thursday he peed in DSs Mickey mouse suitcase and pooped in his playroom. Today he peed in a toy and pooped in the playroom.

He is only 3 yrs old (if that matters)

Anyone experience this? Please tell me he is just acting out and this will stop?!

sounds like he is acting out but if he continues doing it take him to the vet he may be sick.
