Cat and Dog Owners
Do you think your babies think you are just a big dog or cat or do you think they know you are different?
I think my kitties think I am a big girl kitty- except I have opposable thumbs!

Re: Cat and Dog Owners
My cats know we are different. My guess is that they think we are less furry family members. Perhaps distant cousins.

im assuming you have cats?
i believe they know we are different, but unlike humans they are not prejudice because of differences... i believe they accept that we are one of the "pack" or family and thats that....they dont need any other explanation... for that matter ive seen cat/bird... cat/dog.... cat/hamster.... ive even had a cat that would hang out with my pet mice when i was younger.

Re: Cat and Dog Owners
Good points. I don't think they can differentiate. Maybe they think all living things are cats.
I am definitely there for the care and feeding of the cats.

Re: Cat and Dog Owners
I think they differentiate not in how we look or species per se, but what they get from us. They can get food, play and love from those things that have two legs. They have to share half their food with that other furry thing that is fun to play with.
They have to chase and catch any of those small things that run close to the ground.
Then there's the ones that they get nothing but grief from like the one that comes to the door, makes a noise, and goes away without giving them anything. (mailman)

Re: Cat and Dog Owners
What I always wonder is what they think of car trips. I can totally understand why a dog would be afraid of a car. You get put in this thing that moves around, you never know which way it's going to go, things are whizzing by, and the only good part about it is sniffing mysterious things in the air.
