Catering halls or restaurants near Merrick for Christening???
Does anyone have any suggestions of a catering hall type place or a restaurant that's not too expensive in or around the Merrick area? I need a place that can hold about 100 people and I just can't find anything. Please let me know if you've been to anything in this area that you've liked. I need to get this Christening booked soon. Thanks!!

How about La Piazza on Merrick Rd? My shower was there and it was wonderful!!!!

I did Cafe Symposio on Sunrise Highway in Bellmore for my son's christening. You get the get the whole restaurant and have room with that many people. I had about 70 - I think...

Thank you everyone for the suggestions. I did look into those places and unfortunately they will not work for us, La Piazza and Cafe Symposio are $40 which at 100 people is a bit more than we were looking to spend. And Guy Anthony's can only hold 70 people in the room.

what about Memore its a KOC in Seaford? it is really nice.
I would try to go with a KOC b/c most restaurants and catering halls will start you at 38 if you talk them down( and no liquor) and def in the 40's. I am going through this right now myself planning DD's christening for next feb!
Pompei wants 45 a head and I thought they would be cheaper!!!!!!! they are in west hempstead.
and it seems buffets are more expensive I thought sit downs were? at least thats the quotes Im getting.

La Piazza has a very nice room for parties! I almost booked DD's Baptism there, but we found a place a little closer for us.

I was going to suggest this place as well. I looked her for my baby shower- we didn't book b/c they did not have available the date I wanted.
