Change in behavior at 6 months? Is this normal?
DS is my little angel baby. He loves everyone. He is such an active, happy little boy.
Lately, he has become very demanding and impatient! He whines when I lay him down to put his coat on. Last night he was getting mad at me for not shoveling the food into his mouth fast enough
Is it this age? Is he already frustrated about communicating? He is learning sign language at daycare and we try to reinforce it at home as much as possible but he is still too young to be signing.
Just wanted to see if this is normal and (hopefully) just a phase. I hope doesn't grow up to be this impatient!
Also, if anyone has experienced this should I just let him fuss once in a while? I feel like giving him what he wants every time will turn him into a spoiled child

my dd is the same way..,.. she turned 6 months and found this attitude.
I try to ignore it and hope it will go away.
she gets so mad that she makes a fist and grunts so loud.
we're hoping its just a phase.

Re: Change in behavior at 6 months? Is this normal?
DD has always been a bit tough and stubborn but yes! She is 6 months and she has quite a temper. She gets angry if I try to do somethign she doesn't like- she screams if I try to feed her when she doesnt' want it- screams when I gave her her medicine- screams if I wash her face.
She is also frustrated it seems that she can't be more mobile. She tries to stand up , tries to walk- wants no part of crawling. I feel like she is a toddler trapped in a babie's body and it frustrates her.
And she has developed a scream that can pierce your ear drums. No joke!

Re: Change in behavior at 6 months? Is this normal?
I have noticed the biggest behavorial changes at the 6 month mark, even now at 3.5 and 4.5. I feel like it lasts about 2 months. Ds was always the most difficult at 6 months, 18 months, 2.5, 3.5, 4.5. Now that he is 4 and 8 months he is a lot better than at 4.5.

Re: Change in behavior at 6 months? Is this normal?
YUP!!!! DD is the same way and just turned 6 months. She gets upset/frustrated if you put her down and she wants to stand or sit. If you try and feed her and she doesn't want to be fed. If you dont give her the spoon when you are feeding her. If someone besides me or DH goes to hold her. She has definitely become more clingy and demanding. I feel like if she was able to talk or move around more than her body is allowing her to do then she would not get so upset.
