Change in induction date... not starting maternity leave
So I found out today that the induction date I was originally told, won't work for the hospital. They insist I be a full 39 weeks unless I have an amnio - which I'm not doing just to pick a birthday. At May 1 I'd be 38 weeks 6 days, then I'd like the high risk OB in the office to be the one to deliver the baby if possible so we have to work around his schedule. So after all the maternity leave confusion, it looks like I am working through the week next week and I can start my 7 day waiting period the following week for disability. My new induction date appears to be for May 6 - only 3 days before my due date... I almost feel like - why bother inducing at that point? At least I won't go past my due date I guess and it can still control the Heparin too... unless baby comes before then.
PS. I think my DH is "nesting" he's moving furniture and cleaning the house

Re: Change in induction date... not starting maternity leave
I'm a little sad about this. I was hoping for little munchkin to come earlier than that.
Oh well. He/she will surely be worth the wait
On the otherhand, I kind of wish you were able to go on leave already and relax

Tell me about it... my feet hurt and I'm exhausted. Granted the reality of the baby coming is overwhelming, but I'd like to be on the other side too. I just hope the baby doesn't get too big in there. I don't want anything more than 7.5. I'd like the heart burn to be gone and I'd like to be relaxing. Baby just better not come early on his/her own... I need some time off to myself before this major life-changing transition, but I'm not sitting around for 2 weeks till the induction - then have to leave a 10 week old to go back to work... I figure the later I go out the later I have to return.
