thanks everyone.
I guess price is relative. i can see that $300 is the going rate for birthday parties, but for us that is just not realistic.
I'm leaning towards MIchaels or AC Moore (although I'm not sure 6 year old boys will love this). OR a playground party for the whole class in April when the weather is warmer, but parking is free. As long as parents STAY!

Also Pizzeria Unos kids menu is like $6.00 a kid..we go there have lunch and I bring a craft to do. It works out well for us. We have twins.

It is relatively cheaper than other places where I live but I don't live on LI.
