amazing!!!!!!
i would love to do this if all i needed is just paint for our kitchen but i need to change the layout and add more cabinets and need new appliances, so i think there is no quick fix there

Same here- I actually like the overall aesthetics of my kitchen but lack cabinet and counter space.

Yeah..I love the bead board!
They did a great job. Love the green/blk/white combo.
ETS: The only other thing I would have changed is the hardware.
I'm not a fan of the long handles. I probably would have put knobs on the doors and the crescent looking pulls on the draws.

yes the bones were there. The cabinet were in great shape to start with. Very basic so not really outdated.

The green is very bold and probably not a color I would have picked either, but the green, white & black together made the kitchen more now and in.
Thanks Heather! I love to see what others have done with just paint. It really gave this whole room a whole new look. It might have only been paint that changed this room, but it changed the whole room.

since the reality of redoing our kitchen is basically non existent for YEARS i am thinking next year i will start painting our cabinets either white or something bold and contrast that with wall color, add a backsplash that is basically wallpaper that you paint over or cheap tiles, peel and stick tiles on the floor just to dress it up a bit more.

this looks great. with all these posts about painting cabinets, now I want to do mine! i wasn't going to because we are eventually going to replace them, but now I want to! I already changed the hardware and that made a difference, I guess I can add another project to the list

Just think of it this way, if the kitchen is better for a few years at least you don't hate it in the mean time. Plus you can save up longer for the kitchen you really want.  White cabinets, punch of color. I'm sure it would make your kitchen look awesome.
So do we get to see any new pics of your house yet? What have you been up to?

I was thinking the same thng. They may have left the long handles so they wouldn't have to fill holes, but I think they finish is too dark against the white. I guess they match the countertops, but there is something jarring about it.

your totally right!! I have been crazy busy trying to get things unpacked and cleaned. its so much fun though!! I actually posted a pic of the sunroom on that thread, other then that I haven't had time to upload any of my own pics yet  I will soon. I already have a few before and afters since DH has been working like crazy to finish the master bedroom. we painted it and the new carpet is being installed friday. we also changed out the doors in that room and tonight I am going to try and get the window treatments. once the bedroom is done we will begin on the the rest of the house. I have to say, its the best feeling in the world to own a home though!! I can't wait to do all these projects! thanks for asking

Really nice!!! I like it a lot. Im in the middle of painting my gross 80's cabinets white too - and I'm also adding moldings and hardware. I'll post pics when I'm done. At the rate I'm going I should be done in May ....2012!
