Child Care Leave --right of return...
It was my understanding that you have four years right of return to YOUR SCHOOL.
Is this true? I am hearing mixed things, some say right is to district, some say region, some say school.

Re: Child Care Leave --right of return...
We were advised during the maternity workshop to take one year at a time for child care leave. This is so that should you want to return after a year, you have right of return to your school first...should you get excessed in that time, you are excessed to wherever you would get excessed to (the district?..I'm not sure, honestly, how excessing is working now, I'm sorry), but if you take, let's say, 4 years of child care leave at once and want to come back after 1, your principal does not have to take you since you originally told them 4. I hope that makes sense.feel free to ask more questions if you'd like..I took pretty detailed notes...I realized I think I gave you more info. than you asked, but I think it's worth having the big picture...

Re: Child Care Leave --right of return...
I just returned last year from a 6 year leave. I took one year at a time and was told I had right of return to my district not necessarily the school b/c of senority.
