Re: Childbirth/Lamaze class
Yeah I haven't seen any lamaze classes that would be free. We rented the laugh and learn childbirth video from the library and found that really helpful. It was 4 hours long and it was nice that we could watch a little each day.

Re: Childbirth/Lamaze class
I know the hospital offers it for free but its just one class. Im not too sure if Im going to take another one. I mean free is one thing but is it worth 250 plus for a class?? idk A lot of ladies on here mentioned those videos.

Re: Childbirth/Lamaze class
I haven't heard of any free ones either, but CFA offers the childbirth class for $195/couple. Other classes are $50, like infant care and CPR.

I bough the Laugh & Learn video but we have yet o watch it. Do you recommend it in place of taking Lamaze or to supplement what you learn in Lamaze?

Re: Childbirth/Lamaze class
We went to the class at LIJ yesterday. $165. Not worth the $! Should have just watched a video at home.
The tour of L+D was helpful------but we could have done just that for free!
I guess everyone's experience can be different. There are so many expenses with a new baby, IMO, the $ that we spent on the class could have been better spent elsewhere.

Re: Childbirth/Lamaze class
We took a class at St. Charles, it was $125.
WE are delivering at Good Sam, but St. Charles was closer.
I think it was helpful, mainly common sense...but overall kinda glad we took it. It was also nice to meet couples that were going through the same thing as us.
Good Luck in deciding!
