Is Lamaze the same thing as Childbirth Class?

I am so confused

I am delivering at Winthrop and I keep seeing "Chilbirth Classes". Is that Lamaze or is Lamaze separate?

in my childbirth ed class description, it says something about Lamaze....so I think yes


Maybe you can call them and ask, I'm sure you wouldn't be the first to ask

Lamaze is a technique used in childbirth - so your class might give a broader outlook on what you might be able to expect and might use Lamaze as an example of one way to get through it.

I guess it depends - our classes here talk about childbirth and then caring for your baby afterward. You might want to call and ask before signing up.

Yes, I think it does b/c I'm taking child birthing class at LIJ in a couple of weeks and when I asked about lamaze the woman said that's what child birth class is. I was told to bring a pillow and comfy clothes.
