While I am not a fan of him as a person, there is no denying that the guy is talented! I can't help it, I love his songs and can frequently be found belting them out loudly in my car.
This is how I feel...I want to hate him AND his music soooo bad....but he is a good entertainer and I also find myself singing his songs..
Same here...

Re: Chris Brown
I think Chris Brown is incredibly talented. The kid can dance his a$s off. Does he lip sync while doing it... of course...because the type of dancing he does makes it pretty much impossible to sing live without losing his breath.
With that being said, I can appreciate his talent and still not like him as a person. And to be quite honest, it really doesn't stem from his abuse of Rihanna.
I believe people should have a chance to redeem themselves. Chris Brown came out, did everything the court system asked him to do with probation and community service. He could have just left it with that and showed the world with his actions that he is a better person. Instead, stories come out of how he gets into arguments on Twitter with other rappers and throws around racial and homophobis slurs. He has hissy fits during interviews when he is asked about the Rihanna incident. I just personally do not like him as a person one bit. I think he is classless and if he never hits another woman again that is wonderful, but he is just trash based on his other actions.
When it comes to the Rihanna incident, people also forget that there were reports that she was involved in hitting him as well. Yes, she is the one that showed the physical signs of the abuse, but I always found it interesting that her role in the fight was very much downplayed. I don't particularly care for her much either and just based on what I read about her and see in her behavior, I truly believe that she could very well have been the instigator in the fight. Not that it makes it OK for Chris Brown to beat the crap out of her, but why isn't she getting some flack for her role?
In the end, I do think people should have a chance to redeem themselves. I think Chris Brown did what he was supposed to do after the incident and the industry is giving him a chance because of that. But still in my eyes, I will watch him if he is on a show, I will probably sing along to his songs if they come on the radio because they are catchy... but I won't be buying his music.

Poor Rihanna, I can only imagine how she feels being in such close proximity to him.
Poor nothin! She likes to be abused, she even wrote a song about it. She must also hate herself immensely to even think about going back to someone who physically abused her. I lost all sympathy for that girl when I saw her tweets back and forth to beat her down brown.

Re: Chris Brown
I felt him performing was really unnecessary. I liked his old songs but I am totally unimpressed with these new ones. There are SO many other artists that could have performed, I think picking him was in really poor taste.

I agree.
I don't condone what he did in the least, but I believe he has tried as hard as he can to redeem himself in this situation.
Everyone makes mistakes - I don't think he goes around beating his girlfriends. I just think they had a very tumultuous relationship overall.

I couldn't have said it better myself! Is he an a$$, of course, but I think he is talanted and entertains, which is what he is paid to do. I would think if most celebs were given job opportunities based on what goes on in their personal life, most wouldn't have jobs.

There's no Poor Rhianna. They were abusive together. If you hate one gotta hate the other. Man or woman hitting another is wrong period.
Do you know him personally? You defend him a lot on here.
While Rhianna may have hit him, I don't think she beat him like he did to her. I haven't seen any pictures of him with wounds. Of course I have never really looked either.
I think he's a scumbag. But it just goes to show you $$$ trumps everything in this world.

I don't like him period. I don't like how his first reaction to anything is violence. Someone asks him a question on TV about Rhianna and his reaction is to throw a chair through a plate glass window onto the street. AND this was when he was supposed to be reformed.
He really blew his chance big time IMO. He could've have been HUGE HUGE HUGE.

His lip synching was so bad it made me laugh last night. He was all over that stupid block thing...barely climbing it...I used to think he was talented, but after I watched him live I am embarrassed for him.

Defending would mean I think his actions were right. I have never said that..what I have said is that it she is not as innocent as she was made out to be but I understand why people respond about the incident the way they do. RiRi can be volatile and they loved hard and fought hard.
And you are right about knowing someone personally--but no its not CB.
I have daughters by the way and there is one conversation I will be having with them..if you hit a man be prepared to get hit like a man. Hence the reason why I will drive home not to hit, slap, punch etc because not all men will walk away.

Re: Chris Brown
No matter what, no one will ever forget what he did. He'll have to carry that around forever... so I don't think the backlash will ever be TRULY over. Yeah his songs are catchy and yes, he can dance... but I don't like him as a person at all and while I do think people should be forgiven and given second chances, certain things are unforgivable. I saw those pictures... and to do that to the person you love is unforgivable and shows a lot about your character. People won't forget that.
