Chris Christie?
So the speculation goes on as to whether he will run or not.
I have to say, as a Dem who voted for Obama, I would seriously consider him if he did, at least if he doesn't start pandering to the far right Republican base. I would look at Romney's record also, though a few things he has said already have put me off. The rest, eh, wouldn't vote for them.
Any other thoughts about him as a candidate? I do think he could take the election if he remains himself more or less.

Re: Chris Christie?
I would vote for him! He's my governor! He's considered a moderate conservative- like Giuliani.
His speech at the Reagan library this week was great!

This is why I would vote for him! But the Republican party (or the conservative base) seems to miss the value of this, so I hope he doesn't get pressure to be someone he is not.

Re: Chris Christie?
Doubtful that I would vote for him, but I was impressed with his role during the hurricane.
Pataki on the otherhand would get some serious consideration from me.

Re: Chris Christie?
I think he is just going to wait until 2016 when the competition will be less.
I unfortunately don't see Obama getting knocked off (even against Christie)... which of course SUCKS since Obama has done absolutely jack **** to boost the economy.
If Christie waits until 2016, I think he has a strong chance since there won't be a Democratic candidate better than Obama... and the public will be totally sick of any Democrats at that point.

Re: Chris Christie?
i would never vote for him. mainly because of this i want my future children to have a quality education with quality teachers (and i want a job). you think obama has done shitt for the economy? christie has zero budgeting and planning skills... it would be a thousand times worse with him.

Re: Chris Christie?
i don't mind him but i hate his stance on unions and more importantly on teachers. He is a bully and basically does exactly what he claims unions all do. Bully.
Other then that he really isn't so bad.

He is a very down to earth PR machine. I think he lacks substance, experience and education.

I'd vote for him in a heartbeat. He has more experience than our current Pres had and THINKS on his own, has common sense and doesn't need a teleprompter. REFRESHING!!! And he's funny! :)

Thank you, ITA. I have relatives in NJ who are republicans and they can't stand him.

Re: Chris Christie?
He wouldn't have a shot I don't think. He's too abrasive, too "east coast" for middle america. If he tones it down maybe....not that I'd vote for him either way, and he's my governor.
