Christening dilemma
We didn't want a huge christening. We were just going to do the two immediate families, but because DH's cousins just had one, it looks like the family expects us to as well,, so we will have *something* a little bigger than we imagined.
We are short on funds, so here is the dilemma: Do we have it at the house? It is Nov. 18th so we would rent a heated tent for the deck and get it catered.
Do we have it at the Knights of Columbus in New Hyde Park? I'm not sure what they would charge?
There is a great restaurant in NHP - Pencenzo's. With drinks, it would be $31 pp , do we suck it up and do that?
I'm not sure what would be the easiest.... Any opinions are appreciated.

Re: Christening dilemma
You can shop around for maybe a little cheaper price on the reasturant...if you cater or rent a tent its going to end up costing close to the same in the end possibly.!!!

Re: Christening dilemma
Don't feel pressured to have a big party just because others do..
We had/having a small party with just immediate family and close friends 40 people tops both times. My bro just had an 80+ party for his daughter.
having had my dd's 1st birthday party at home thinking i would save $$$, it was more pricey than having it at a restaurant.
I say have it small, at a restaurant, enjoy yourselves and not worry about cleanup or cooking or cleaning.
