Christening Questions...

We are starting to think about what to do for the Christening and we would like to do it in the spring when Hannah is 5 - 6 months old (is that too old?) and keep it small because of $$$.

If you don't mind, could you tell me...

1) How old was DC?

2) How many people did you invite?

3) Who did you invite? (did you just do parents, grandparents, siblings, friends or include aunts/uncles & cousins? children? 2nd cousins? etc)

Molly was 8 weeks old. Our adopted son will be over a year- but I like to chisten a baby within the first4-10 weeks.

2) How many people did you invite?
We kept it small..about 30.

3) Who did you invite? (did you just do parents, grandparents, siblings, friends or include aunts/uncles & cousins? children? 2nd cousins? etc)
we had immediate family and some very close friends. we did not have a huge party.

2) How many people did you invite?
I kept it small, about 30 people. I had a brunch at a restaurant and it was very affordable.

3) Who did you invite? parents, grandparents, siblings, two friends, a few aunts and one cousin who happened to be staying with my mom.

Re: Christening Questions...

We are in the process of trying to decide this now.

1) How old was DC?
She will be 4-5 months, depending on when we schedule it - I wanted to do it earlier but got side tracked by the holidays.

2) How many people did you invite?
This is the big question - it will either be 13 of us (immediate family), 30 - immediate family and very close friends of the family, only one or two friends of DH and I or around 80 for everyone. I think that the deciding factor will be cost on having it out. If it is a small party I would want to go out since it is only a few of us and if it is big, my house can't hold 80+ in the winter (bad timing on my part since we have a great backyard Chat Icon )

3) Who did you invite? (did you just do parents, grandparents, siblings, friends or include aunts/uncles & cousins? children? 2nd cousins? etc)

See above

Re: Christening Questions...

Ella was 2 months old. We limited it to close family & friends - had about 35 people (in my house)

Re: Christening Questions...

Emily was 5 1/2 mths old - we had it in a restaurant....about 35 adults and 6 kids. Mostly family and a few close friends, not any distant relatives we felt we "had" to invite or ones we never speak with.
