Re: Christmas Big Gifts
Nothing big. DD gives me a list of what she wants- if there is something "big" on there, I'll get it. If not, that's fine. This year she asked for a lot of small and mid sized type things. She's more of a quantity of gifts girl. She actually told me she didn't want the "big" LOL doll ball because it was "expensive" and she'd rather Santa be able to get her more gifts.

Christmas Big Gifts
My girls looked through the TRU catalogue and while they say they want half the stuff on every single page the one thing they came back asking for was a big dollhouse. So thankfully that's figured out. I have no ideas for any small stuff though.

Christmas Big Gifts
We have nothing big this year, I don't think. All my daughter asked for was clothes and stuff. When I asked her what kind of "stuff", she said that Santa knows all so he'll figure it out. Lovely!!

Christmas Big Gifts
This year my 5yo son wants that big imaginext batbot. I refused to spend $100 on a toy. But Targrt had it on sale for $89.99 then the 25% off and and an additional 5% off, i paid $67 for it including tax. So that's his "big gift". My 7 yo daughter wants a luvabella doll. But again i refuse to spend $100 on it. Target had it on Sale for $89 and i had another cpn but they were out of stock online and in store. She got a hatchimal and a fingerling both of which she really wanted so even if i don't grt the doll i feel like santa is already doing so well for her. My 7 yo son wants star wars legos and Art supplies. I'll get him a good wooden easel with chalk board and dry erase. And a bignroll of paper to attach with a bunch of art supplies. He'll be so happy!

DD (2 1/2) is getting a dollhouse by kidkraft. It's not expensive, but physically big, lol.
DS (almost 7) is getting xbox. But...we got it when we bought our tv (promotional perk).

I think at that age my friends and I started asking for jewelry - gemstone rings, nameplate necklaces, lol. Or electronics. They are still so little, but I felt so much older then...

Christmas Big Gifts
I have to be choosey with large size items because we have no space. I think we are getting a bike for my 5 year old. I bought one AG doll already that was intended for my 5 year old, but my 3 year old seems to like the large dolls better, so I'm not sure who will get it. We're taking a Disney trip, so that is sort of a huge family gift.

Re: Christmas Big Gifts
Ds is getting an iPad and dd is getting an American girl doll from Costco so it has a bunch of stuff. We are not doing a lot of presents this year. It will be one larger present, tickets to a show, books, pjs, socks, board games.

Christmas Big Gifts
I'm out of ideas, seriously! Last year was electric scooters and a balance beam. There is nothing "big" that either want this year really. My DD will get AG stuff, but that's not really "big" to me. I think I'm scaling back on "stuff"....and getting more experience items, and I will put Disneyland tickets in their stocking since we are going in February

Re: Christmas Big Gifts
We have no idea yet. Last year it was the cat that DS had been asking for for years, and we did a family gift that it was more towards him, that was tickets to "School of Rock". This year he has not started making a list yet, but he already feels that nothing will compare to getting his cat last year.

Re: Christmas Big Gifts
my kids are 9,9 and 10 and sadly I feel like they are growing out of toys. They are asking for gift cards and new ipads/itouchs. I will probably get them tickets to a broadway show and/or Rangers game.

My 5 year old is getting a Nintendo DS (not sure if a 2 or 3).
We just got our 6 year old a DS for his Bday. They do not reccomend the 3ds for under 6 or 8 because of the 3D. We went with the 2DS because it was $100 cheaper and you can play all the 3DS games on the 2DS. We also did not want the one that folds because that would be broken in a hot minute.

His brother got the 3DS at 6 so since he's almost 6 we are going to go with that.
DS 1 is almost 8 and it's held up well (in a nice case).

we're getting a Nintendo Switch for the whole family... and my 2 boys can play it together on road trips or whatever. I also got the Gorilla Gym for both of them, too. they have a TON of energy so that will help!! DS 1 is getting Osmo to play on his iPad, and DS 2 is getting some big imaginext thing that he saw and wanted.

Re: Christmas Big Gifts
Physically big and not terribly $$$: Paw Patrol pop up play tents. I was looking for something "big" that wouldn't break the bank. Plus they collapse (bonus points!)
Expensive: Lego Coast Guard Set (my 6yo boy) and Tyler the Tiger (my 3 yo who is also named Tyler)

I booked a 3 day stay at Rocking Horse Ranch. DS loves that place more than anywhere.

Re: Christmas Big Gifts
I'm struggling with the "big" gift too for my 8 year old who's not that into toys. My 4 year old has been easy since he likes a lot of things. We got him the Nintendo Switch as his "big" gift. My 8 year old likes to play WiiU so he'll enjoy the Switch but he can do without it - need to get him something good that he'll really enjoy so that there isn't a disparity.

We got DD the Meccano Robot Spider and DS the Meccano Max Robot. I hope they really play with it because they were almost $100 each.
