Christmas Cookies-----first time baker

Thought I may have posted this already but couldnt find it.

Im not really a baker but would like to attempt to make several types of cookies this year. I know a lot of people do several different types.....how do you keep them fresh? Do you make the dough ahead of time and freeze or make the cookies ahead of time and freeze? Or is the dough all made and baked the same day? How do you store baked cookies?

Also if dough is frozen ahead of time, are there certain cookies that work best?

Sorry for all the questions!!!!!TIA

In short... yes.
I know choc. chip cookies freeze well, both cookies and dough. Probably other thick dough like that would too. I don't freeze, just take a few days to make it all. I wrap put the cookies in Tupperware, sometime w/bread to keep them soft. I only make afew things that might get stale, and make those as close to delivery as possible! HTH
