Re: christmas eve dinner
We do a buffet. Chicken fingers for the kids, adults have usually 1 seafood dish, a pasta dish, and somthing easy like a roastbeef. But we have so many appetizers that usually the food its picked on all night.

Re: christmas eve dinner
We usually do a pasta dish (ziti, lasagne or something), seafood marinara & some kind of other meat (roast pork or chicken).
Sides for filet mignon? Twice baked potato you can make ahead, a salad, garlic bread creamed spinach (also can make ahead).

Re: christmas eve dinner
with filet, i'd do a green veggie and potato.
Oven roasted sweet pototoes and white potatoes with fresh garlic and rosemary
Roasted asparagus with olive oil and toasted almonds
Green beans
We are italian so we do 7 fishes on xmas eve :)
