Christmas gift for a child w/autism

I work with a 6 year old boy who has autism. He doesn't really play appropriately with most toys but does awesome if you give him more structured activities (i.e. board and interlocking puzzles, stringing beads, shape sorter, etc.). I'm not sure what to get him for Christmas though. His birthday just passed and I got him clothes, which I would rather not do again. He already has a huge assortment of puzzles. I would like to get him something a bit more fun but that also helps him further develop his skills. Any suggestions? Thanks so much!

What about lacing cards kit, or pop beads. Check out this website.

There is a lot of therapeutic manipulative toys on her and they are a pretty good price.

Good luck!

Kid K'nex are great or maybe a Gears set? DS has both and loves them. The gears set he has are called "Wacky Wigglers".

I was going to suggest Gears too. My DS is big on building toys & contraptions and he loves these. They don't sell them at TRU though. Maybe online but not in their store. I got them at Fun Stuff Toys in Seaford.

The best part is if they don't want to follow the directions to make something in the manual, they can still come up with a lot of amazing contraptions.

I was going to suggest this as well - a child I consult for is 5, and this is the only toy his parents have seen him actually enjoy and use appropriately!!!

There are lots of great things to do with this!
