Christmas Trees...

Do you do a theme?

The same every year? Or change it up each year?

Collect certain kinds of ornaments?

Re: Christmas Trees...

We like the clear lights

We have a lot of older ornaments from when Danielle was younger.

We also have an ornament for each year we are married

We have ornaments from every place we ever went on vacation

Do you do a theme? Red and gold

The same every year? Mostly the same every year.

Collect certain kinds of ornaments? I like vintage ornaments. Very unique. Like little antique cars etc.

I do colored lights and I have all Hallmark ornaments on the tree. I've been collecting them since I was little.

Re: Christmas Trees...

we always do white lights and use the same ornaments and bows every year.

The ornaments are a combo of old ones from my parents tree and ones that we have collected over the years

Re: Christmas Trees...

No specific theme but we always use colored lights & the tree is always trimmed on the outside with gold beads. I have some ornaments from when I was a child & we bought a lot of new ones last year. We make it a tradition to buy a new box every year.

Re: Christmas Trees...

I would love to do the big fat ribbons on the tree but I have no idea how to put them on. I hate the beads that I have...I feel that thery're so outdated.

Re: Christmas Trees...

We just use all different ornaments and colored lights--that is how both of our parents did it so that is what we like best. I don't think I will change it over the years.

The ribbons are easy. If you use wired ribbon just bend it and weave it into the branches. I prefer the wireless ribbon (something sheer), it's a little easier to maneuver (imo) into the branches. I also prefer when the ribbon is on the inner branches as opposed to the edge.

We dont really do a theme and it's pretty much the same each year. I like all white lights on the tree though and I like to keep it simple. I dont like a ton of ornaments on the tree.

The lights are always white and every year we do different colors. I usually do 2 colors and try to do at least one color of what I have already. This year since we DS we are going to be a colorful tree but the colors are kinda muted.

My theme has shifted towards this as well - I have a lot of Krinkles Chat Icon It's a very fun tree...with some old, sentimental/traditional ornaments mixed in.

Do you do a theme?
Gold and light Green with some Red ornaments and red pointsettas and our tree has white lights (my tree is a pre-light one)

The same every year? Or change it up each year?
Same every year - boring I know, but I think it would get expensive to change every year

Collect certain kinds of ornaments?
I liked my Moms tradition - she collects a Halmark annual ornament, so she has over 30 dated ornaments. So I started my own, I been collecting the Lenox's Winter White Snowflakes. Which reminds me I have to pick up this yearsChat Icon

Re: Christmas Trees...

Our tree has colored blinking lights and all kinds of ornaments, some from when we were little and ones we've started collecting together, there is no rhyme or reason to our tree.

Re: Christmas Trees...

We pretty much do the same thing every year, although we add a couple of ornaments each year. White lights, with our angel on top, tree skirt, and balls which are all the same color... maroon and gold. This makes it look coordinated, like it has a theme. Our actual ornaments are just random ones, but most of them have a meaning to us.
