We bought ours at Dee's Nursery in Oceanside and spent $55 on a 7 foot. I thought that was a great price and actually less then last year.

i know!!! this is one of the reasons we're considering getting a fake tree this year. last year the place we went to was like $55! my parents used to grow and sell christmas trees so i know what they take to grow, but that was a little rediculus! we figure if we get a fake one and spend $200 on it, it'll pay for itself after a couple years...

We bought a 7.5' tree from Target last year....regular price was $249.00, we paid $40 the week after Christmas. And it's so nice!!!

We had sticker shock when we were looking at trees this year, too.
We got ours at Giordano's in West Hempstead. We got a rather large (almost 8' and very full) tree for $73.  Their prices ranged from $45 - 75. They have really nice trees, though, and they're all standing up so you can see them well.
HD prices weren't much better - actually more expensive for what we wanted, though a bit cheaper overall. We decided we'd rather support a smaller business, so we bought at Giordano's.

mine is up but not decorated yet.
it does seem like trees are more expensive this year from friends of mine that got real ones. (we do fake)

We went to a nursery in Rockville Centre on Long Beach Rd. we always go every year to this place...it was so far from us since we moved but we traveled to get a beautiful tree this year, looks beautiful in the window of our new home

We live in suffolk, but got ours for $35. It was about 8 feet and we had them cut it down to about 6 feet so it would fit in our apt!

we bought our fake one for $29.99 at the harrow's going out of biz sale last year. it is a fake, VERY full but it is one of those "thin" trees b/c we don't have the room right now for a typical full/round one. it is pre-lit though which is my FAVE part about it!! pre-lit is the best 
i really should take a pic of it to post - it is so pretty with our ornaments on it
