CIO and standing in the crib?
A few times DS has gotten up at 5am and we let him CIO - it only takes a minute or two at that time before he is back to sleep. Well, this AM he was standing up (Cat went into his room and DS was very happy to see him). We heard a noise so DH ran in (it was the monitor getting knocked over). We need to lower the bed completely so we don't need to worry about him falling over but will he goes back to sleep after he is standing????

Sometimes he will go back to sleep, sometimes he won't I imagine. These kids are pesky!

Re: CIO and standing in the crib?
hes just learning how to stand?? i had the same prob with DD- she was sleeping thru the nite, then starting to learn how to stand and pull herself up, and the problem was she didnt know how to get herself back down! lol. so, it took about a week (maybe not even that long) for her to learn how to plop herself back down....my sister used to tell me until she learn, just go in, lay her back down, tell her its nite nite time still....you dont want DS thinking that when he pulls himself up, that means its time to get up...if he does that at 5, who knows if he will do it earlier!! these children of ours......

Re: CIO and standing in the crib?
Thanks for the advice DS has been standing for a while, he likes to fall on his b u t t.
We lowered the crib tonight and closed the door completely to keep the cat out - hope this works

Re: CIO and standing in the crib?
DD is doing the same thing. Now that she can stand, she doesn't want to lay down in her crib! She stands up on the side closest to the door & whines for us when we put her down at night. She'll go for an hour like that! She was such a good sleeper for awhile... now I feel like we have to rock her to sleep again.

Re: CIO and standing in the crib?
Typically for us standing up means she's up and that's that.
