CIO success!

It worked, it worked, it worked!!

All day long, whenever Yael needed to nap, I would put her in her bed, close the shades, turn on the little aquarium thingamajig, kiss her and walk out, and within minutes she fell asleep Chat Icon

And tonight, I fed her, and as I burped her she fell asleep on my shoulder. I put her down, and of course, eyes wide open and she started to fuss.

Gave her a peck on the cheek, said Lila Tov, and walked out.

20 minutes of some crying, I will admit, but after that, fast asleep...

Now, if DH would just LISTEN to me, and put her in her crib for her naps instead of rocking her, it would help the mission! Chat Icon

Yeah rocking has been a problem in our house too. I think my dh and i tend to rock out of boredom and to keep ourselves awake. Chat Icon Chat Icon

Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Nice job. Dh is the worst too. Last night he brought spent like 5 minutes soothing him rather than doing "the plan". Once I told him to stop, he only cried for 10 mintues and then went to sleep until morning. Chat Icon

Re: CIO success!

It worked!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

She's been waking every 4-5 hours at night lately. But after I let her CIO last night, she slept from 8-4am! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon And then back to sleep for another 3 hours!

Next... I tackle the transition to her crib, after she's fully learned how to self soothe.

After that, I tackle the 4am wake-up. After that, hopefully we'll be back to 10-12 hour stretches at night Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon
