City Mini Owners...Can we talk about the cons for baby??
I bought ours about a year ago, and lately, I have been putting DS (15 months) in our other stroller, The Metrolite (This is if he is awake. If he is sleeping, the city mini is wonderful!)
1.)He seems to always be reclined, regardless of how much I adjust the back.
2.)He is tall, and still can't reach the snack tray.
3.)Even if he could reach the snack tray, he is so reclined, I am scared he will choke.
4.)I feel like he can't see what is going on, he tries to get himself up to "see", but again, I feel the sides come up so high, and he is so reclined, that he can't really see whats happening.
Just curious if anyone else has had any of these issues. I am in the market for a double, and would like to get the city mini double, because *I* like it, but I don't think DS does at all....which is most important

Yep! I've had this stroller from when DS was 7-14 months. Those were all the reasons I bought the Peg Perego Vela. I love it. It has all the same features I love in the city mini and DS loves that he could sit up and actually SEE. He was so miserable in there. I just wish I bought something like this first. Live and learn

Okay, so I am not completely alone on this. Its just a little frustrating because this actual stroller is only like 7 months old. There was a problem with the one that I had bought, and I exchanged it.
There is no way BRU will take it back..is there?
Anyhow...looks like I am back to stroller shopping!
Suggestions?

i have no issues about the city mini... love everything about it.
i got a universal snack tray and it goes much lower.. they can reach it fine.. it goes on the bellybar.
and my seats go up really high, they are never reclined.

My DS is a peanut and has no problem at all with the snack tray. I put snacks on there for our afternoon walk and he has no problem reaching them.
I do wish it sat up a bit more, but that is my only complaint with this stroller. I love love love it!

i love the city mini for me. its tall and maneuvers so well. but for DS it wasnt working. so i got the graco deluxe while he was smaller. now at 17 months its much better. but im thinking of not putting him in the shoulder straps and just snap it around his waist. and i have the tray there. is that horrible of me? lol

i put the knob part on the inside so the tray's are closer to them. and i tilted them slightly and thats it!! works really well and much cheaper than the baby jogger one!

Funny, this is exactly what I was going to try as a last resort, before it went to the garage!

Re: City Mini Owners...Can we talk about the cons for baby??
We have the new 2011 version and the seat does sit up straight (it has new velcro straps to make the seat more at a 90 degree angle.
DS is almost 13 months and up until recently, it was totally fine, never needed to use the velcro straps to sit it more upright. Now that we put the belly bar on, he seems to want to sit up more upright so it's nice to have the extra feature.
