City mini Stroller Owners????
Do you have problems with the straps?
My DD is small petite and the straps the hooks on the lowest setting still hit her on the side of the face when she turns her head. Do you have anything behind them to protect them? Also are the straps uneven? I hate that you have to unsnap the grey snaps below when you are folding it up. I wish the handle bars moved up and down. Just wondering how everyone else felt about the stroller???
Good and Bad?

Re: City mini Stroller Owners????
We started using ours when DS was 3.5 months old and we had the same problem with the straps by his head. I never noticed that they are uneven. You might just have to adjust the size of them to make them even. As far as the snap, I never snap mine when I have it open because you can't close it when it is snapped. I love this stroller I just wish the seat was not so reclined. My 11.5 month old gets annoyed that he is not sitting upright and I can't say I blame him.

Gotcha we just opened ours up last night DD is almost 6 months so we wanted to try it out and I wish I paid more attention to the detail when I was in the store!! I hope I can get used to it.
Do you have any of the accessories? Can you fit a water bottle in the parent console?

Re: City mini Stroller Owners????
FYI: I think you can call Baby Jogger and order a board that goes behind the seat that makes it more upright/supportive. I believe it's something like $10...I read that on one of the stroller forums.

Re: City mini Stroller Owners????
We started using it when DD was 2 months and the clips on the straps were right by the sides of her face. But I just put the strap protectors over it and she was fine... now at almost 4 months she fits much better.
The parent console is awesome, definitely fits a water bottle and has two other compartments for keys, etc.
What gray snaps are you talking about?
I absolutely love the stroller and so does DD!

Re: City mini Stroller Owners????
I just called baby jogger and ordered the board it was $8 plus shipping. Will keep you posted if it really helps. I have the belly bar which really serves no purposed but DS loves to pull himself more upright with it. I also have the snack tray which I have not put on yet. I LOVE the parent console. You can fit a drink and then there are two more compartments for keys, camera etc. HTH.

Under the seat there is grey snap but you have to keep it opened when folding up the stroller but they want you to snap it together when the child is in it.

Re: City mini Stroller Owners????
Soooooo....besides the support thing is the City Mini really that awesome? I'm thinking of selling my Quest to get one since the basket looks bigger and I like the mesh in the back since sometimes DD falls asleep in her stroller at the sitters. Can anyone compare it to a Quest? Does it push as nice? How does it push with a heavier kid (30lbs plus)??? Thanks!!

I agree - dd hates sitting in the stroller. We had the same problems with the straps.
We actually borrowed a friend's Pliko stroller recently and she loved it because she could sit up so well. She just doesn't sit right in the City Mini.
I do love how it rides though

I never snap it either! SO annoying! I did them maybe 2 times and then I just stopped because it defeats the purpose of the easy one hand folding!

Re: City mini Stroller Owners????
The straps were never an issue for us...maybe cause DS is taller
I LOVE my City Mini and would buy it again in a heartbeat. For us it suits our needs better than any other stroller out there. We live in the city and it rides better than any other stroller I tried, even the bug. It's lightweight, steers like a dream and rides over cracks and uneven sidewalks perfectly. I can carry it up and down the subway stairs DS is comfortable in it as well. We never close it as we're not going in and out of cars so the little grey straps underneath the seat don't present an issue for us. But in the event that I do have to open and close it, it's so easy and I can do both while still holding DS in my other arm which is huge.

Can you compare it to a Maclaren? I'm debating on whether to get a Mini. We live in the city too and I think the bigger wheels may ride better than my Maclaren but I'm unsure. Thanks.

oh man, i'm bad because I still don't know what you guys are talking about. I love the stroller and I am also going to order the support to sit up. DS also hates he's not sitting up.

Re: City mini Stroller Owners????
See page 7 of the manual for the straps that we are talking about.Citi Mini Manual
The straps on my Citi Mini are black because I have the Red/Black one.
The thing that annoys me is that in all the vidoes that demostrate how EASY it is to fold with one hand, NONE of them show that you have to unsnap the safety snaps first. That "small" detail is only in the manual and I only noticed it when I was assembling the stroller.
