do u really get back a lot of money or no...how does it work

I believe the child credit is $1000.00

We usually owe money this year I did a quick Turbo Tax estimate and we are getting back a whopping $350 from FederalChat Icon

I get a ton of money back, but I guess that's because I'm a single parent with 2 kids that both are in childcare Chat Icon But, I'll tell you when I was married filing jointly with one child, we never got much back.

My DH and I get a lot back, but we only claim M 2 during the year which they then take out more then when we do our taxes we claim M 5 (which we are and we get a lot back. I'm a SAHM to 3. I think it all depends on your tax bracket and what you claim throughout the year.
