cleaning stainless steel appliances and granite countertops
What do you use to clean your SS appliances? What about your granite countertops?
Do you use your regular fantastic or whatever or something special?

Re: cleaning stainless steel appliances and granite countertops
I use the method wipes they sell at target - for the granite and the ss. But really, the best thing to clean SS is WD-40.

I use stainless steel wipes for the appliances.
I use Glass Plus or the special cleaning kit my granite installer gave me.

Re: cleaning stainless steel appliances and granite countertops
Absolutely NO AMMONIA BASED PRODUCTS on granite. You will eat away at the sealant they put on it, then it will be porous and stain. The only "window type cleaner" you can use is Glass Plus... absolutely no Windex. I think Windex has just come out with a non-ammonia formula but I'm not sure.
Sorry to shout but I've posted this at least a dozen times on this board and I don't want any one to ruin their granite as it's $$$.
The granite place my FIL deals with uses Glass Plus in their showroom and on all of the slabs in the factory.

Pledge is the best for stainless steel, it works great. I use Glass Plus or plain soap and water on my granite.

They installed ours today. I hope I love it as much as I'm anticipating.
ETA - I won't get to see it until tomorrow b/c I have to work super late and we haven't moved in yet. I'll be going straight to our apartment... maybe I'll see it before work tomorrow.

Sometimes I work too hard... other times I leave at 3.
Thanks so much for asking about my dad. He's doing AWESOME! He is even back to golfing - finally cleared... He and my mom went to their house in NC (where they will ultimately retire) for a month so he can celebrate at the golf course! He deserves it.
I need to scan some of my wedding proofs with pics of him. I keep meaning to show everyone - especially people like you who were so supportive. How's Freddy? How are your parents?
