Try liquid plumber first-you are going to get charged an arm and a leg for someone to come out right now.

We had a similar problem. My DH used a plunger and everything came up. We haven't had a problem since. My dad insists on doing this every few months or so.

thanks. i got a new plunger(mine was a dollars store one.) and some liquid drano foam snake. so i used the new plunger and it went down and was able to get krys into a quick shower for tonight and then i will put the drano stuff.  that it is just hair

i am in shirley. right now it is down. but i have a feeling not for long. can you fm me your bil's number so i can have it just in case this is just a temporary fix. thanks

It might be just hair trapped in the spiral that is connected to the drain switch in the tub. Try unscrewing that and lifting it out of the wall. The spiral will come with it and there might be a lot of hair attached. This could save you $100 from a plumber.

This is exactly what happened to us, last Sunday. My DH bought the Drano and he plunged and it just got worse. Until we put the snake through the drain and pulled out what was causing the blockage did the problem get fixed. Now our pipes drain the best they ever have. Good luck!!!! I know what a pain this is. But, the illustrations that someone else sent you is exactly what DH did!!!

If it's hair, which I hope it is, it might be worth putting a basket trap in your drain, so that you can clean the hair out regularly. It's about a dollar at the hardware store.
My dad put one in our bathroom growing up. 3 girls with full heads of hair caused lots of problems!
