Clomid question - what's the difference with the CD you start?
I was approved for one more IUI (#5) yay!
Typically I take clomid from CD5-9. They told me to start on CD 3 this time. Is there a difference?

Congrats on being approved for one more iui.
I'm sure there must be a reason your dr wants it that way. If this is maybe your last iui, did you think about injectables?

Good question. I always take it from 3-7 so I never thought to question it.

Re: Clomid question - what's the difference with the CD you start?
From what I've read, there's no difference in effectiveness if you do it CD 3-7 or CD 5-9. This cycle I actually did it CD 6-10 (my office doesn't do blood on weekends and that's just how it worked out) and I had 2 or 3 good-sized follicles, ready for an IUI just over a week later.
Good luck!

I believe days 3-7 give you more follicles but not always better quality.
Days 5-9 are better quality, but not as many follicles.
I've always done days 3-7 and were lucky both times on the first shot. Good luck!
