Clothing store for 18yo girl
Doing an adopt a child gift and I want to include a gc. I was thinking H&M or Old Navy? Thoughts or other suggestions? Looking for a place with variety and where she can get decent bang for her buck.

I'd go for Old Navy. They have something for everyone.

It’s been a long time since I’ve been 18 but old navy definitely does not scream “cool” to me. Even I feel uncool wearing it and I’m old!

Is Express semi pricey though? I haven't shopped there in forever. She also listed mostly sports as her interests so I figured somewhere that would offer both activewear along with nicer stuff.

Re: Clothing store for 18yo girl
I don't think an 18 year old would want Express, isn't that like business casual ?
I would do Old Navy/Gap/Banana Republic. They all take each other's GC's anyway

No Express has a ton of party type clothes, short dresses, awesome jeans. They have some "work type" pants but I wouldn't call it business casual
Lots of stuff like this-

Maybe I'm lame but she's an 18yo foster child. I'm not looking to help her get party clothes. More looking for her to be able to get basics for sports, school, work, etc.

then i guess old navy? I just find the quality at old navy to be god awful- kind of a get what you pay for thing. The sizing is all over the place too. I once got a bathing suit from there and the color ran when it got wet. A BATHING SUIT wasn't color fast.

If she is into sports maybe Dicks. She can use for sneakers, or sporty clothes. They usually have coupons too.

She can get some nice jeans and sweaters at the Express. They have a little bit of everything and they do have awesome sales.

You're not lame, you are realistic. Get a GC to Old Navy....everybody can find something there, especially basics like T's, jeans, socks, hoodies.

Idk, personally I'd take clothes from target over old navy/gap any day but it's not for me. Going to think about it and see what options I find without having to go to a mall.

Target would be my choice - they have everything from jeans to dresses to underwear and PJ.

My SD is 19 and she likes to shop at Forever 21, Urban Outfitters, Victoria's Secret, NY & Co and Express. Actually, she really loves Marshall's too.

Re: Clothing store for 18yo girl
Target, Forever 21 or H&M.
All have reasonable prices and a variety of styles.
Personally I think the quality at Forever 21 is not great, but she can get a lot for her money there.
I think H&M is considered relatively trendy among younger people.
