I'm on here all the time and there is no justification for the things you are saying now!! That was a while ago if she made you guys feel bad I am sorry but alot of people on here respect her and look to her for advise and help and she is always there!!!! If you don't like it don't read it and leave the ones that to want alone and don't say mean things about some body being helpful!!!

First off, everyone is allowed to voice their opinion......Whether its said in a way you find appropriate or not...so yes, Redstar can post as she sees fit, but it doesnt mean everyone will like her methods...and same goes for Don, he can have his opinions and he can post them AS HE sees fit. So I think the bottom line is everyone is different in how they read a post and no one can argue with how someone feels.
Donna was upset and felt her "advice" was corrected and viewed as "wrong" ....I tend to agree Michelle's response was sort of "teacherly" and I would have felt bad myself...She did correct Donna point blank and actually I felt the original response to Donnas advice was wrong. Mucinex ( the TOPIC AT HAND) does THICKEN your CM. it DOES NOT make it thinner....It makes it LOOSER....but we strayed away from that topic and it was never clearly explained because instead we got the links to the sites about the product, which I read and did no help ...so that was pointless. Sometimes I just want an answer in real persons terms. I have avoided this board a LOT lately because I feel that advice is not given AT ALL...its just medical info copied from websites which I have to in turn decipher myself and then I go look it up myself anyway.
But lets not jump on Don because of the way he portrays or speaks his mind....If you do , then your saying that redstar can say as she wants in what ever TONE she wants but not Don?
Can everyone step back and see that?

Redstar has been extremely helpful and supportive to me. I think your coming over and posting that she's the reason that you, your DW and several others don't post here was mean and unnecessary. If you choose not to post here, that is a personal choice, but don't come here and post to make someone feel bad.
I agree 100%. Redstar has helped me in so many ways. I am so grateful to her for her kindness and knowledge. I think that people who don't agree with what she says should just ignore her. Thanks Redstar for all the help you have given me. I am so grateful.

i think this whole post is getting out of hand! we are all adults here, and if everyone just steps back they will remember we are all here for the same reason. personally, i think redstar has given out so much extremely helpful information and has answered so many of my questions. i am a healthcare professional and i have to admit she knows so much more than me about TTC! so, thank you.
we are all emotional about our TTC success and failures, but that doesnt mean we should take it out on each other. if we cant come to these boards for compassion, support and advice ( whether we agree with it or not) then where can we go!

Seriously this is one of the MOST immature posts i have ever seen. The issue was between Doodles and Redstar and the thread was about the drug. If Redstar wants to give medical advice or anyone else, go right ahead...none of us reading need to believe it to be the truth.
Whatever the issues are between captain and any others, is your issues you might have with her presenting herself. To call her out on this thread is just plain immature and to stir up trouble.
I personally don't take everything redstar says on threads as medical truth, but I think she is very knowlegeable on TTC matters. If others don't like what she has to offer to us then don't post on her threads or FM her.

If I get information that I find useful to share and hopefully help someone in their TTC journey, I would think I wouldn't have to be "corrected" by someone who is not in the medical field. As Redstar is entitled to do her research for everyone here, I am also entitled to express my views about them. Again, where did I ever say she wasn't helpful? I wish people would stop putting words into my mouth. It is her own admission of not liking OB's and doctors in general that I feel come across in the wrong way and I am entitled to my opinion about her form of expression.
And I think this is the reason many of us feel we can no longer post openly about our TTC experiences. I guess I hope for others to share their experiences with me, not just the medical research they can throw at me.
The point to this thread was to let anyone like myself who has problems with CM that Mucinex was suggested over Robitussin by my doctor.

IMO, Redstar's advice and postings have helped me and many others (those who post and those who are lurkers). Actually, far more than many RE's and ob/gyn's out there. While she is not in the medical profession she has spent hours and hours educating herself about the very complex issue of TTC and infertility and has unselfishly spent many hours posting that information (stats, studies, etc.) on these boards for the rest of us. Much of what she posts is cited medical information. Not her opinion and not just her experience.
This is a very emotionally charged board. In a perfect world, none of us would be here. Speaking as someone who has been TTC for 10 months now (and I have the utmost respect and admiration for those couples on here who have had a much longer struggle) I would not wish this experience on anyone. This board and infertility are supposed to help us on this very difficult journey. Let's not turn this forum into a bullying clique like some of the other forums. Aren't we all adults? Don't we have lives?
Everyone relax. Breathe. Those of us desperate to conceive don't need the drama.
As far as not posting, that's the individual's choice and for as many individual lurkers out there, there are reasons not to post. Please let's not turn this into the equivalent of a schoolyard fight. We are all adults.

So perfectly said and I can't agree more. I think I am done posting for a while, some people are intentionally starting uncesessary drama. That is not what this board or any other board is supposed to be about.
Redstar has helped me more than my best friends through the hardest part of my life and I know that she never has bad intentions and truly wants the best for everyone, and for all of us to get BFP's and I haven't met anyone in the "real world" that has been so unselfish and willing to give and share as much as she does. It saddens me that people single other people out.

Michele- thanks for sharing your knowledge, it is VERY helpful. I like hearing "medical jargon" on here- I think it arms us for this process.
