CM issues (sorry, TMI)

So I'm on CD 13. On CD 10 and 11 I had lots of creamy, lotion-like CM and then yesterday and so far today, nothing much. Nothing on my undies, only a little when I check internally.
My CP is high and soft. I know I might just O later, but wouldn't I continue with a lot of lotion-like CM leading up to EWCM?

CM is tricky. That's why I don't rely on it to tell me when i'm Oing. Last cycle i basically had what you're talking about - wet & creamy CM. On the day that I actually Ovulated (the OPK gave me a positive) my CM was more of sticky rather than creamy, but it certainly wasn't eggwhite and stretchy as a lot of ladies describe. I haven't had it really "thick" like that for a while. Preeseed helps though if you're like me and don't have as much CM to work with.

You may or may not have EWCM around the time of O. If you are checking your CP, that is another good indicator and you can use an OPK to confirm when you'll be ovulating.

If you find that you're ovulating and not having fertile quality CM, you can try using Preseed to "mimic" CM and help the sperm along, or you can take plain Robitussin or Mucinex to loosen up the CM that you have and make it sperm friendly.

i never got EWCM (only after i actually conceived). i used pre-seed and it worked well - i also used mucinex, which thins the mucus membranes and makes a better environment for the sperm to live in.

a high and soft cervix is also a good sign that you are about to or close to O. i would BD tonight if you can, positive OPK or not.

good luck!! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

We are cycle twins. I am am in the same boat as you. I think we both thought we were getting close to O the other day. I have the same exact type of CM. So strange for me. Usually when I "O" I get a good amount of EWCM. It is weird. I had lots of creamy, lotion CM for a few days then nothing for a day or so, and not I am back to creamy lotion again. I am on cd 12.

I noticed a little more CM tonight. Not quite EWCM, but heading in that direction I'd say. So BD'd.
I'm hoping for a pos OPK soon!
I also got my Pre-Seed today!

Re: CM issues (sorry, TMI)

Don't worry, my answer is definitely TMI.

I read somewhere (sorry, don't know which book) but to check the spot on your undies. If it's a round spot, it's "fertile" CM. If it's more of a straight line, you haven't O'd yet or O'd already.
