Cold/Ear Infection- First Battle, Please Help!

Cold/Ear Infection- First Battle, Please Help!
How long does a cold/ear infection generally last? DS came down with a cold LAST Saturday (over a week ago). Took him to the doctor on Wednesday of last week, BOTH ears were getting infected. He's been on an antibiotic since Thursday. Shouldn't he be back to his normal self by now? Or am I jumping the gun and should expect him to still be out of sorts? Please help! This is my first round of him being sick and it's breaking my heart.... Just talked to the babysitter and he's still just not quite himself....... I just want my happy little guy back.......

I took DS to dr on Friday..he had a fever and an ear infection....today is the first day he is himself

My kids are usually back to themselves within 3-4 days with an ear infection.. with a cold, it's usually lingering for a good week.

All the way back to normal? Not just a little fussier than normal? How long was he not feeling well before Friday?
