Cold Feet

DH and I have been looking for a house all of 6 weeks with hopes of moving late summer (lease is up 9/30). Well, typical of us, we found a house we really liked and negotiated for over a week before they accepted our bid. But ever since they accepted, I've had MAJOR cold feet about a lot of things. THe house is beautiful but isnt in the part of town we wanted, nor the style of home we always loved. And after the inspection yesterday, I honestly don't think we're getting the deal we should be in this housing market. Anyone else get serious cold feet like this? I don't know whether we should just move on and keep looking Chat Icon

Re: Cold Feet

If you do not LOVE the house, its not in the area you want, and there were issues with the inspection, you could try negotiating a better deal, or just continue looking.

Buying a house is very emotional, and it should feel "right".

Good luck!

Re: Cold Feet

walk away!

this is the biggest purchase you will ever make! if you don't absolutely love everything about it (or at least most things about it), don't do it. there will be another house.

Re: Cold Feet

You will probably see a bunch of houses you like if you keep looking, but you can find one you LOVE, so my advice would be to keep looking.
Good luck

Re: Cold Feet

I agree, walk away. You will know when it is the one. We almost put a bid on one we just "liked" and decided against it, we just had a nervous feeling. Now we found a house we LOVE more than we could of imagined! Hold off for a while, it will happen! We looked for 6 months.
