Cold sores while pregnant
I seem to be getting all these weird things now! Do any of you have them now that you are pregnant?
I haven't had a cold sore in years! What is safe to take during pregnancy? I will call my doctor tomorrow but I was wondering if this is common.

Re: Cold sores while pregnant
I had cold sores for 3 weeks straight (at 7 weeks, 8 weeks and 9 weeks pregnant) and ::knock on wood:: haven't had one since!!!!
I got Abreva from WalMart and packed that on at night. They weren't bad cold sores but they hurt.
Also....my doctor told me to buy some store brand Bacitracin and cake that on my lips are night! I've done it every night with success!
GOOD LUCK! Sorry, I hope they go away soon!

Re: Cold sores while pregnant
I've had one since being pregnant. It didn't really catch me too much off guard though cause I've always been one to get them a few times every year. So much so that I actually have a prescription med for them. I know...real attractive. lol

Re: Cold sores while pregnant
I had them with DD#1 but none this time. With DD they told me nothing in the 1st trimester but the 2nd trimester I was allowed to use a valtrex cream. I was told not to use abreva.
