Coming Over Here
January I got my BFP and decided to keep quiet until I ended my first trimester - very superstitous person and know I understand why the women in our family taught that.
I had my first appt scheduled for 2/5 but the night before I started spotting. Although I know that this *can* be normal in pregnancy I knew in my heart that it wasn't good. When I went in the next morning the sono tech saw what was described as a very good sac in the uterus but also found a "complex matter" in my tube. She found that two eggs were released from the right ovary and it appears that both were fertilized.
Yesterday we saw that very little progress was made with the sac in the uterus. The fertilized egg in the right tube remained and although my beta was going up it wasn't where it should have been. At that point I had been bleeding for 5 days.
My doctor gave me two choices: methotrexate or surgery. I chose methotrexate and had to go to the ER to receive the injection. We know medically and emotionally that nothing would come of the sac in the uterus and since the egg in the tube was small enough to buy me some time we agreed to act immediately.
I am saddened by this but okay with it at the same time...strange to say outloud but it's honest. I had the sono tech show me the sac in my uterus and I knew full well that nothing would come of that pregnancy so I followed my priority...my health (my promise to my son), then my tube, then the hope of this pregnancy. So my health took priority - I know that for as painful as this all is...finding this all so early was somewhat fortunate.
These are more words than I thought I would be able to put to this...but at the same time there are no more words that I can bare to say.
Beyond my own sadness...my heart goes out to all of you. I hope for better things for all of us from this point forward.

I am so sorry for what you are going through. I can relate as I went through something very similar a few months ago. It's heartbreaking, I know - but you did do the right thing. I promise you that over time it gets easier. You are a great mom and I hope you feel better soon.

I am sorry Ang. You are a terrific person and mother and a great source of inspiration and advice to all of us.

oh no. I am so sorry to hear this Ang. Losing a pregnancy is not easy so give yourself time to lick your wounds and heal (physically & emotionally). I have faith that you will be a mommy soon.

Oh Ang, I am so sorry
Please FM me if you need to talk, I too, had to take the methotrexate last year for an ectopic pregnancy, so if you have any questions, I could help the best that I can.
I know you feel like you really don't want to talk, but honestly, it does make you feel a little better, so I am here when you get to that point
