Contacting HR for FMLA
I can't for the life of me remember when I contacted HR for FMLA paperwork the first time around. Just was curious at what point in your pregnancy you did this. TIA!

I assume all companies are different but mine would not send any paperwork until 4 weeks before my expected leave date.

My company didn't have Fmla, but "hr" reached out to me with the disability paperwork. Maybe at like 32-36 weeks. Def before 36 bc I stopped working at 36

I met with HR at 12 weeks, when I went public. I don't think I get the paperwork from them until 3rd trimester.

i did it a while ago because i wasnt sure by the handbook what exactly i would be "getting"
must have been 20 weeks or maybe before
she handed me the ppwk to give to the Dr and basically i just have to "touch base" when he's born. I have plenty of time after to get the ppwk back to them. of course, i will do it asap bc that's how I am :-P

im 30 weeks and just started my paperwork for my STD which includes FMLA.

I'm a manager in retail. The company has been around for 40 hrs and I'm the first manager to be pregnant. This whole process should be interesting. It'll be a learning experience for all of us involved lol

I think the first time around I contacted the lady who does maternity leave around oct-nov and I was due in feb. I didn't end up meeting with Her and filling out the paperwork until the beginning of January! I'll prob contact her April- may this time

I contacted them when I was 20 weeks pregnant to put them on notice. Also, I was not sure what my firm's policy was regarding leave.
