Contractor for a deck
I currently have a large deck that needs to be completely redone. Half of the wood is rotting and it's too big for my small yard. I would essentially like to reuse the wood that is good and the PVC railing which is in good shape. BUT I want to change the shape completely in addition to sand and stain/paint the wood.
Who do I call for something like this?

Sorry, I don't know any contractors for a wooden deck but have you ever thought of replacing the deck with pavers ? There are pictures of my new patio in my album.

Licensed and insured carpenter.
Don't quote but I also think decking *might* involve dealing with the town for permits which is a PITA and makes you vulnerable once you let the town in to inspect your property.
I also think decking may be a lot more costly than pavers, but depending on what you would need done, maybe not.
Our house sits really high up, so if we took the deck down,we'd still need something major done to get into the slider which is $$$$$$$ anyway you look at it.

Wow gorgeous!! I really like that but my house is raised a pretty high amount so we'll need some kind of raised structure at our back door.

Same here. Our home is really high too. Thank you for the info on the town. I will look into that for sure.

Thanks, we love the new patio.
You should check out the Dr. Pavers website. There are some pictures of patios of various elevations. Perhaps you can do it.
