Conversations with a toddler...
Toddlers can totally be little monsters but they can also be so cute and so funny. This happened with my 2 1/2 yr old:
Momma: Sebastian u speak English and u speak Spanish
Sebastian: noooo, I talk!
Got any funny or cute ones?

Conversations with a toddler...
After giving ds a shower and blow drying his hair, I told him he liked like beiber. He started balling, yelling how he didn't WANT to look like a beaver.
After a prolonged and tortuous dinner, he finally finished and we shouted hooray, you're free! He started to cry saying no, I'm four!!!

Conversations with a toddler...
DS is obsessed with pj masks. I told him he had to go to bed one night and he said, "no mom. I'm a go getter and go getters don't sleep." I'm often amused by the stuff that comes out of his mouth, especially when he tells me something is ridiculous. Today he told me he couldn't come to dinner because there was too much traffic. I swear I have a threenager!

Re: Conversations with a toddler...
As I went to reply I realized my DS isn't a toddler anymore
but anyway...
He is insanely good at the memory game. We were telling he should play our friend. So he says....I am going to beat him till his pants fall down.....
AKA beat the pants off of him

Conversations with a toddler...
My niece (6 years old) came home and was talking about a boy in her class who apparently has a crush on her. He tells her how beautiful she is and he likes her hair. She said that he told her that "he's a man lady." My brother was confused, then laughed and said "a ladies man?"
Yep :)

Conversations with a toddler...
DH to DD1 who was just turning 3: What color is the moon tonight? (pointing up, he expects, "white") DD: Well, during the day when you can see it, it looks kinda gray and sometimes it's white but when we looked at it through your skelescope it was silver and one night it was red! Sometimes it looks a little yellow white but actually it's mostly white. *blink*
Me, day of the blizzard: Well, there's a lot of snow and ice outside and some of it got on the glass door, so daddy will have to brush it off. Same DD: But I don't want fractals on my window
The other DD sometimes puts her undershirt over her head and imitates Beavis: I am connholio and I need deedee for my bumble!

Conversations with a toddler...
my almost 3 yr old said last night when I told her to clean up "I just an't remember how to clean up. I'm to little." then it was "i'm just gonna be to dizzy cleaning up"
Got her from her nap yesterday and she said "oh hi mom, I was just relaxing in my crib"
She speaks extremely well for her age and has me cracking up all day long.

Re: Conversations with a toddler...
I was on the train yesterday and a little girl was reprimanding her father for his train etiquette. "Daddy do not hold the doors! Don't lean on the doors." It was so funny, she was repeating it verbatim from the announcements.

Conversations with a toddler...
Not my child but I was in the elevator of my apartment building last night and a little child (3?) was berating his mother for being a few minutes late for picking him up from day care! "Mommy, why were you late." "I was only 5 minutes late, and we will still eat dinner on time." "No, Mommy but why--you picked me up late." "I got stuck at work sweetheart" I'm upset you were late!"
I had to laugh, she wasn't as amused.

My son isn't a toddler, he's 9, but he fell skiing last week and needed stitches on his lip. We're driving to the hospital and he says to me, "mom, I can't have an ugly face. My face is my money maker." Lol

Conversations with a toddler...
To get my DS used to new things, I tell him the old things went back to the library.
I served him dinner the next night with green beans on the plate, and he had a full out meltdown, crying "please send the green beans back to the library!"

Conversations with a toddler...
My son is in loooove with his Gymboree teacher, miss Sara. If you ask him who's the best he will say Sara. He does an art class with her and stares at his art on the fridge and sighs and says "mommy I made this with Sara!" We went to his friends birthday party and miss Sara went into the party room to start setting up the pizza and there is my son by the gym door crying "no Sara don't leave!!"

My older DS is almost 5. I picked him up from Pre-K last Friday and I asked him how his day was. He says "Mom my new girlfriend's name is ..., I like her because she showed me how to make duck face selfies in the mirror in dramatic play". LMAO

Re: Conversations with a toddler...
My oldest dd was 3 at the time. She was looking in the mirror
dd- mama my eyes are blue? Me- yes you have big beautiful blue eyes? dd- Mama when did you paint them?
My youngest dd came home from school on vday with a whole bunch of goodies. She took out a lollipop and gave it to me. I told her I didn't want it right now but I would have it later. . About 10 mins later she comes into the kitchen and is eating the lollipop. I said "hey I thought you gave that to me" she pulled it right out of her mouth and she said "i did give it to you. I just made it smaller so you wouldn't choke". I laughed so hard.
