converting VHS to DVD
has anyone done this before, or know anything about it? my mom has a bunch of old home movies of my sister and i when we were little, and of her and her brothers when they were little. She had them all put on VHS years ago, and now i would love to get them put on DVD for her, since VHS is almost non existant anymore. just getting any tips, places to go ( although i'm in NJ, so LI vendors may not help me...) but just general thoughts. thanks

Re: converting VHS to DVD
I know that if you're looking for a standard conversion, alot of drug stores do it. Check out Walgreens or CVS. Those are 2 that I'm positive do it.

Walgreens definitely does it, it's $20 at the one near me.

Re: converting VHS to DVD
You can also just buy a dvd recorder. Especially if you have alot of tapes you want to record. It might be worth it to you.

Re: converting VHS to DVD
I got some done at Target about 2 years ago. It was about $30. Then I made numerous copies of the DVD using my computer to give to family members.
