Re: Cooperative Nursery School?
Well at DD's school there are a few parents who work - for those that do their Nanny's pick them up and drop them off. Parents however take the day when it is time for them to do in class participation. In DD's school each student's has 3-4 special days in the fall (Sept-Jan) and again in the spring (Feb-June). Either one of their parents takes the day to come in or sometimes a grandparent goes in. This is the only thing that might be a problem for you if you work.
It doesn't matter as much with the other commitments because they are done outside of work time (committee meetings for various committees such as hospitality - which hosts a pot luck and cocktail party, or holiday boutique committee or fundraising etc - they all meet at night and those activities are on things like Friday nights or weekends). There is also a dad's day on Saturdays (you are asked once in the fall and once in the spring) to work for 2 hours - if you cannot attend that you can pay a certain amount of money instead.

This is exactly what my friend did. I think it got a little bit more difficult when she had two at the school but she said it was never really a problem.
