Cop Confronts Mom Who Left Child in Hot Car: 'She Could Have Died!'
It just never ceases to amaze me - as a mother, I cannot imagine, I really can't imagine just leaving one child in the car so I can go off and shop with the other child. WHY ON EARTH?? My God, when you see her and she is DRENCHED in sweat - it's just horrible.
Cop Confronts Mom Who Left Child in Hot Car: 'She Could Have Died!' Jul 31, 2015 // 7:52am
A New Jersey officer confronted a mom accused of leaving her child in a hot car while the woman shopped at Costco with a second child.
Video below shows the moment that officers freed the little girl from the van.
“She’s soaking wet,” one of the sheriffs said while comforting the crying child.
Authorities estimated that it was about 80 degrees in the van. It’s unclear how long the child was in the car.
The sheriff confronted the child’s mother when she arrived at her car with a full shopping cart and a second child in tow.
“Is this your kid? You left her in the car!” the sheriff said.
“Sorry, sorry,” the mother can be heard saying.
“No sorry, she could have died!” the sheriff fired back.
Chaeyoung Lim-Kim was arrested and charged with child endangerment.
The child was taken to Hackensack Medical Center and turned over to her father.

This is one of the reasons I have a multi tool in my glove compartment that slices seat-belts and can puncture a window in an emergency. I would call 911 before using it and try the handles first, but I have it for emergencies. I got it at costco a few years ago.

This whole story baffles me. It definitely wasn't an accident since she brought her other child into the store...

Parental negligence.
It's never an accident to "forget" your child in the car.
Distgusting!!!

Me too. I would have someone else call 911 as I smash the shit out of their car. In no way do I care about being charged for a broken window. Cat, dog, child. It doesn't matter.

Disgusting. She should lose custody of both her kids. There are families out there desperate to have children and asshats like this can procreate no problem.
You need a license to drive, to get married......you should need one to have a kid.

Watching the video was horrifying. That little girl must have been so scared. Left alone in a hot car. No one to help her. A strange man breaking the window of her car- she must have been so frightened. I am happy she was helped by the kindness of strangers. I am baffled at the actions of that mother. After all the stories on the news, who could SERIOUSLY think this ok anymore? What is wrong with some people?

I'm not arguing with you.
But sometimes it IS an accident to leave a kid in a car. A tragic accident. Unfortunately it does happen and it does happen on accident.
This woman, on the other hand knew exactly what she was doing. She was even nice enough to crack the windows for the kid, right?
Neighbors say she does it all the time. This time she got caught. Poor kids.

I disagree.
It's never an accident. It's negligence.
How anyone can forget their most precious cargo, is beyond me.

I seen this on the news this morning before I left for work this morning.....I was in tears! That poor child! I too have one of those multi tools in my truck. I wouldn't think twice to use it! People like these are the reasons why I dread the summer......too much of this going on!

This video made me so angry!! The whole idea of leaving your kid n the car and forgetting about them..I can't understand it. It scares the S*** out of me. I seriously don;t understand because I check my daughters car mirror constantly in my own review while we are driving to make sure she is ok. I talk to her , sing to her etc...HOW DO YOU JUST FORGET??? I don't get it! I am just as busy as the next person and I purposely put her diaper bag in the front seat with me now next to my own purse as a precaution. I just don't get it. Its heartbreaking!!

Yeah did you see that shit?!?!! I was like she fuuucking CRACKS THE FUUCKING WINDOW?? Like that is enough?? AS IF THAT DOES ANYTHING?!?!
And then I'm like wow I'm amazed someone saw her or heard her because the windows in the back are tinted and dark so thank God there are really aware people around who took action.
You take one child and not the other too -- Like, HOW do you choose who has to suffer in the car?!?! Jesus CHRIST in Heaven I can't get my mind around this.

This is so true. I never used to cry. Ever. Watching that video made me cry at my desk It's amazing how unappreciative people are. How you can treat your child like that is beyond me.

The video was awful and I hope that woman goes to jail for a long time. That kid was crying, hot and hysterical. Poor thing. She left that child on purpose and I am also of the camp that is is never an accident. Maybe for 2 minutes closing the car door and forgetting but anyone leaving a child in a car for an extended period, it is not an accident.
I am also kind of mad at the person video taping. Do we really need to videotape every single thing nowadays.
