Cost of changing over to gas and central air?
So we're looking at a house that we're ultra serious on...It has oil right now but there is gas on the street and would want to switch over, what's the rough cost of switching over? Also we'd want to install central air. It's a splanch, so we'd have two zones, one upstairs and one downstairs. Any rough estimates?
TIA!!

Re: Cost of changing over to gas and central air?
I can tell you about the gas part. We did this last Oct and it cost from what I remember $5500 and that included a new water heater as well & my tank was under ground so they took care of that. Best thing we ever did also and worth every dime!
We got a new Central Air Compressor last summer, but we already had Central Air so not sure I can help with the cost to install an entire system.
