Cost of organic baby food vs. non-organic
I'd love to make my own but with both of us working it just won't be possible. That said, I think the next best thing is organic. However how are the prices b/t organic and non-organic and is non-organic so much more subpar than organic? I don't want to give Liam anything that is going to contain so much sodium and preservatives, yet I don't want to break the bank either with buying only organic. Any thoughts?
For those that buy 90% jarred food for babies (stage 1) - about how much per week would it cost to get jarred food?

Re: Cost of organic baby food vs. non-organic
I honestly don't know how much per week because I would usually stock up when it was on sale. I would say typically it's double the price but to me it was worth it. I did not want my daughter having fruits and vegetables that were not organically grown or meats that had hormones and antibiotics in them. I mostly used Earth's Best but you can also find some off brands that are a bit cheaper (at least here in CO). I didn't use much stage 1. We used stage 2 pretty much from the getgo because that was what was available the most. But earth's best does have stage 1 in some fruits and veggies. Now that she is on milk she only gets organic or milk from a local dairy that is hormone and preservative free. All her dairy (yogurt, cheese, eggs) is organic. Since she's a bit older I am not as picky about things being organic 100% of the time but I still try for the most part to make sure most of what she eats is organic. If you shop sales and stock up you can do it without breaking the bank.
