Cost of tile floor installation???
I had a flood in my kitchen a few weeks ago and now my insurance is replacing my cabinets but not my floor, so I am absorbing the cost of the floor. What is the average cost to install tile floor per square foot? I was quoted $12 per square foot just to install the floor, not including the actual tile!!!!

I was quoted 800 labor for my bathroom, a kitchen has to be costly

I'm not sure of definitive floor tile install cost. Mine was part of a larger quote of about 800sqft between walls and floors, so there might have been some discounting... Also, it was over radiant heat. The breakdown was at $9 a sqft
thats with them doing 3/4 of mud over the radiant tubes, then putting down the floor tile.
we had to provide tile and grout.
$12sqft seems high, but also, how big is the area? sqft pricing only really works on larger jobs since they gain efficiency by dealing with a larger area.
