cost to tile a floor??
how much do you think it would be for "labor" to tile a kitchen floor. It's a galley kitchen and maybe 72 square feet.
we will be buying tile and grout.
eta: funny i ashed this same question 3 years ago:) just saw it below...but no one responded. guess our renovations are a tad behind:)

Do they have to do any demo? or anything other than just laying the tile, like cutting any pieces? is it ceramic tile?

The tile place were we purchased our floor tile (in NJ) said they start at $7/ft and go up depending on floor material and I guess how much work is involved with cutting and such.

Sounds about right. Around $10 per square foot if there is demo involved. That would be for a licensed/insured company. A person doing this as "sidework" should get less than that.
