cost to install an automatic garage door opener?

I feel like we are the only people without an automatic garage door. I would really like to get one but we would need to have it installed (DH is not handy at all).
Anyone know how much it might cost to install?

If you have the electric there already it's not expensive at all. Couple hundred bucks

We replaced an existing system so the lifting parts were already in place. To tighten the spring, was 150; had I needed a new spring, it would have been an additional 600. To install a new LiftMaster with two remotes, program my car, and put the outside panel on the outside of the house was 450. It automatically lights up the room, has cell phone access, and after four minutes of inactivity will close itself if you forget to close it. It was for the high end lift master. I would think to install the rollers would be a couple of hundred more. I am in NJ so I can't recommend someone on LI. I shopped around, the extra remote should be 50, and the outside panel thing should also be 50. I simultaneously re keyed the locks in my home so I got a package deal with other things. For what I had done I received quotes for the same product from 450 to 950.

For the opener and installation, around $450 is what we were quoted.

we just had done. we went to lowes i think it was like $400.

it also depends on the type of door you have. we replaced our straight steel door with a new slotted door and had the mechanical pieces installed ~1100
